Someone once quoted, “A good book does not reveal all its secrets at once.” I’m not sure who said that, and I’m too much of a lazy-bones at the moment to look it up. In all honesty, I could be totally bastardizing it. In any case, it’s a powerful statement that resonates with us author-type people. Rolling out a character’s secrets, and meticulously crafting that ah-ha moment is kinda what we do. And if we’re any good at all, readers appreciate our efforts in delivering that wanted backhand to the imagination and figuratively being turned over on their asses only to ask, “please, ma’am, may I have another.” You certainly may. I’ve read paranormal romance books where all is pretty much revealed in the beginning and there aren’t many surprises for the reader. And many of them are good. Those types of books can be just as entertaining as any other. But sometime you feel like a nut, and sometimes you don’t. Sometimes you want a little mystery. A little darkness. A little something you can’t even begin to describe. In A Wicked Hunger, I’ve laid out the foundation for a story that is wrapped with secrets, darkness, and carnal cravings. Revealing the mystery behind each character at the exact perfect moment is going to be my personal challenge, and I’ve got my boxing cloves cinched tight and dipped in glass. One thing is guaranteed; in this book, your questions will have questions, but your satisfaction will be answered. A Wicked Hunger: Now available.
